Broadcast Journey
Katelyn currently serves as the on-field host for the Hub City Spartanburgers and Wofford College athletics, showcasing her talent and passion for sports. In addition to her hosting duties, she works as a freelance sideline reporter and play-by-play commentator for various sports throughout the Carolinas. She has called games on the Charlotte CW and ESPN+. Katelyn also shines as a studio host for DIRTVision's "DIRTZone," a dynamic show that features multiple races simultaneously, reminiscent of NFL RedZone.
Katelyn's first job postgrad brought her back to the place that taught her everything about sports journalism...Syracuse, NY. She was a mulitmedia journalist for both news and sports.
Katelyn was an intern for FOX 46 in the summer 2022. There she covered the Carolina Panthers training camp and preseason.
Katelyn is a proud graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, where she earned her master's in Sports Broadcast and Digital Journalism in 2022. While at Syracuse, she made her mark by writing for Syracuse on Sports Illustrated for the football team and establishing the first-ever women's sports reporter at WAER-FM radio, focusing on Women's Basketball.
When she’s not behind the mic, Katelyn loves staying active — whether it’s taking long walks through Charlotte, hitting a Pilates class, or learning how to dance bachata. She also fosters kittens from her local humane society, takes Spanish classes, and never misses a chance to catch a live sporting event.
